Agitated Over the Post Office Scandal
I’m filled with fury over Herr Orange’s blatant attempts to steal the election by defunding the post office to limit their services in an attempt to curtail mail-in ballots. If it weren’t enough to cut back on post office funds, now our Fascist Post Master General is removing sorting machines from post offices. In Portland, Oregon, they went even further, removing mailboxes from city streets. We desperately need public action to stop these criminal actions and to support the post office. Protests across the country in front of local post offices?

Unsung Sheroes
Across the country, women are devoting themselves to important humanitarian causes, volunteering day and night. In my state of Maine, hats off to Maryellen Dunn and other volunteers gathering supplies for migrant children stranded at the Texas-Mexican border. Their latest campaign is donating rain boots for children living in the Asylum Seeker Encampment in Matamoros on the flooded banks of the Rio Grande River. If you want to donate boots or make a financial contribution:TeamBrownsville.org Facebook page. So far they have 62 boots with a goal of 238 boots.
Podcast on Aging
I’m always reluctant to blow my own horn, but I promised wonderful podcaster, Donna Cleveland I would help to promote her latest podcast on aging, where she interviewed me and three other “experts” on aging. To listen to this program: Episode 6 of Thread the Needle: Lies About Growing Old
Netflix Political Satire
For a break from our depressing political scene, I recommend the very clever and funny Netflix series, “The Politician.” It has a great cast, featuring several older women, like Judith Light and the always-wonderful Bette Midler.
